This may not look like much, but it’s my first harvest from my new garden plot at the Blackstone Elementary School in the South End of Boston. You see tiny basil, even tinier bronze fennel, chives, oregano, and a plant from my mother whose leaves taste like garlic (anyone know what this is? I don’t have a name). I am using this first harvest to design a dinner menu for my sister’s dinner party, and am writing this post for the ladies of Chive as a Formal-Request-For-A-Job exhibition of my talents. My name is Lauren, I’m ghost writing under Julia’s sign in, I cook, bake, wait tables, grow food, and want to have dinner with you. Nice to meet you all.
